Scope of Work

  • Explore PK-8 will relocate to a new building at 104th Avenue and York Street. The building is designed to reflect the heritage of Colorado farming and ranching in the area. To accommodate the growth of our district, the new Explore will serve preschool through eighth grade students.

  • UPDATE – Nov. 5, 2019

    • At Explore PK-8, crews continue to work on the landscape surrounding the property and playground space.
    • On the south side of the school, crews have completed the installation of large-scale windows for the main commons! These windows will allow natural light to fill the heart of the school and fireplace.
    • In the east classroom wing, crews are complete with drywall installation and are now working on painting each room and instructional commons.
    • In one classroom, examples of the paint colors, cabinets and backpack hooks are on display.
    • Explore PK-8 is expected to open the fall of 2020.

    • Crews remain ongoing on landscape and have started to fence the parking lot. 
    • Seat boulders are in place on the southeast side of the school. 
    • The sod has been placed and is being watered daily. 
    • Playground equipment is scheduled to arrive Nov. 11. 
    • Inside the gym, crews are working on the masonry. 
    • Ductwork is complete for the HVAC system in the gym and crews are now moving into the commons. 
    • Cabinets and paint are being tested in a few classrooms. 
    • Gym equipment is scheduled to arrive soon!
