Scope of Work

  • Explore PK-8 will relocate to a new building at 104th Avenue and York Street. The building is designed to reflect the heritage of Colorado farming and ranching in the area. To accommodate the growth of our district, the new Explore will serve preschool through eighth grade students.

Explore PK-8 Construction Updates

    • Crews at Explore PreK-8 are putting the finishing touches to the nature-based playground equipment, including the newly-installed swing set and zipline!
    • Next week, concrete is scheduled to be poured, locking everything in place.
    • On the west side, the preschool playground has a tractor-themed jungle gym setup, perfect for Explore's youngest learners!
    • In the grand hall, the fireplace stonework is done and crews are now painting the drywall in the cafeteria, offices, and library.
    • In the east wing of classrooms, the floors are polished and covered.
    • Casework, light fixtures, backpack hooks, and paint remain ongoing throughout the school.

    • As the Bienenstock crew draws closer to completion of the main playground, work has begun on the preschool playground area. 
    • At the front entrance, final touches are in progress to the metal for the silo. 
    • Inside the building, the fireplace stonework now runs top to bottom. Only finishing touches remain surrounding the dual firebox openings. 
    • Starting in the 7th and 8th-grade classroom commons, crews have begun polishing the concrete floors. 
    • By the end of January, the gym will get their barn doors installed!
