2023 Awards For Excellence Rules
To Whom Given:
Four awards to be given in the following categories for 2022-2023:- The Licensed Employee who has contributed substantially to each student achieving his or her dreams in Mapleton Public Schools.
- The Administrator who, through leadership and by example, has significantly contributed to the mission of Mapleton Public Schools.
- The Classified Employee whose personal commitment has furthered the goals of Mapleton.
- The Rookie of the Year; a current employee in their first or second year of employment with Mapleton Public Schools, who has gone above and beyond to contribute to the mission, goals, and achievements of the district.
Awards:
Awards will be presented at the Awards for Excellence/Retirement ceremony on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Denver - Westminster, 8773 Yates Drive, Westminster, CO 80031. All nominees will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for their nomination.Selection Committee:
2022 Awards for Excellence winners and Mapleton Education Foundation directors.Criteria for Nomination of Licensed, Classified, and Administrator of the Year:
- Must be an employee of the district DURING THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR for which the awards are given. Transitional employees are eligible for nomination.
- Must have been employed in the district for at LEAST TWO YEARS PRIOR TO THE YEAR for which the award was given.
- Must have been nominated by an EMPLOYEE, PATRON, DISTRICT TAXPAYER, or STUDENT.
- Must have MADE A SUBSTANTIAL CONTRIBUTION to the goals of the district, its organization, or its endeavors during the year for which the award is given.
- Previous winners are eligible to repeat only after an interval of five years.
- All nominations must be submitted using the provided link. Nominations submitted in any other format will not be accepted.
Criteria for Nomination for Rookie of the Year:
- Must be a current employee of the district in their FIRST or SECOND year of employment with Mapleton Public Schools.
- Must have been nominated by an EMPLOYEE, PATRON, DISTRICT TAXPAYER, or STUDENT.
- Must have MADE A SUBSTANTIAL CONTRIBUTION to the goals of the District, its organization, or its endeavors during the year for which the award is given.
