If you would like your child to attend preschool in Mapleton, register your child using Mapleton's online Infinite Campus enrollment application. All families will need to enroll in Colorado's Universal Preschool portal once it becomes available.

Step 1: Register with Mapleton Public Schools
Enrollment begins on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Complete your online application for enrollment through Infinite Campus and select your preschool program of choice. Your information will then be reviewed by Mapleton's Early Childhood Education team.
Step 2: Register with Colorado Universal Preschool
Once the Colorado Universal Preschool portal opens for the 2024-25 school year, all parents and caregivers, regardless of income, county, or school district, MUST APPLY for a preschool spot (3 and 4-year-olds) using the Universal Preschool Portal.
Please note, that the enrollment process is not complete until you also register with the Colorado Universal Preschool portal. The portal is scheduled to open in February. Visit the Colorado Department of Early Childhood for the latest information.

Step 1: Complete the Annual Update through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and select your desired preschool program for the 2024-25 school year.
Beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 17, current families are invited to log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and complete the Annual Update to make their preschool selections for the 2024-25 school year.
Step 2: Register with Colorado Universal Preschool

Walk-in preschool enrollment is now available!
Families interested in full or half-day preschool for their 3 or 4-year-olds may now walk into the Welcome Center to begin the enrollment process. The Welcome Center is located on the Skyview Campus, 8990 York St., Thornton, 80229, and is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
For the 2023-24 school year, all parents and caregivers, regardless of income, county, or school district, MUST APPLY for a preschool spot using the Universal Preschool Program (UPK) family portal from the state. This includes:
- New families
- Returning families
- Mapleton employees
Your child will be matched to a preschool program through the UPK system. After you receive your match from the UPK system, you must accept or decline the match to continue the enrollment process. This process may take up to four weeks.

What is Universal Preschool?
Beginning in the 2023-24 school year, the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) will fund up to 15 hours per week of high-quality, voluntary preschool for every child four years of age by October 1 in Colorado for the year before entering kindergarten. In addition to the free half-day preschool for all 4-year-olds, UPK supports additional hours for 4-year-old students and part-time preschool for 3-year-olds with qualifying factors.
