MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
As we wrap up the month of February, teachers are finalizing Trimester 2 grades and preparing for parent/teacher conferences on March 15 and 16. Even though the weather hasn't seemed like it, Spring Break will be here before we know it!
We hope you can join us for our Trimester 2 Celebration on Friday, March 3 at 2:20. We'll have some fun, celebrate students' achievements, and kick off a March Lucky to Read reading challenge! The School Culture Committee and Partners in Education volunteers have some great ideas to build excitement about reading and have some fun during March, especially the four days of school before Spring Break. Stay tuned for Spirit Week (March 14-17) details, coming soon!
I'm sending the March newsletter a little early to remind families about Tuesday's SAAC meeting. Please join me on 2/28 at 5:30pm to hear more about our newly selected dual language program model, Gomez & Gomez, as well as to provide input into our 2023-24 school improvement plan. Adventure's Instructional Leadership Team is already starting to look ahead to the new school year and design our school's goals.
Lastly, please remember that on late start days we do not open our doors to receive students until 10:00 since breakfast is not served. Whether it be a late start on our school calendar or due to a weather delay, please do not drop your students off prior to 10:00 as we do not have staff available to supervise them.

Starting in 2nd grade, all students receive formal language arts instruction in both Spanish and English.
Adventure teachers will receive extensive professional development this summer and over the next several years though our partnership with Dr. Gomez's Dual Language Training Institute. If you'd like to learn more about Adventure's new dual language model, please join us for our SAAC meeting on February 28!
